Frequently Asked Questions
How would you describe your style?
My style has been described as joyful, organic & romantic – and I feel like that's pretty accurate! I like to think of my style as a mix of effortless, whimsical Anthropologie and classic, elegant J.Crew. I adore creative, fun couples who are down to be silly and real in front of the camera. My favorite weddings are laid-back celebrations that involve the great outdoors, break the mold, and are filled to the brim with personal meaning.
What is required to book my date?
I'm a believer in starting things on the personal side, and love meeting over a cup o' joe. Of course, if you're not located here, I also love FaceTime! After our meeting I require a 25% retainer fee and a signed copy of my contract. A second payment of 25% is due 90 days before your wedding, and the final balance is due 14 before your wedding. All payments are considered non-refundable as they are received.
Do you offer prints?
Yes! Every wedding and session comes with a password-protected online gallery. From there, you can view, share and order prints. The prints I offer are beautiful, high-quality prints that are callibrated to my screen - meaning they print exactly as they were intended to be seen. You are also allowed to print anywhere you choose, but I don't recommend printing at Walmart, Target, Walgreens, etc. While the cost of those places is highly competitive, their printers are not run well and I cannot guarantee that your images will be printed correctly. If you choose to print your images yourself, I recommend using Mpix or Bedfords. However, for the best quality and color I recommend ordering directly from your online gallery!
Will my images be retouched?
All images I deliver are edited individually to match my style, and are color-corrected and adjusted for exposure if necessary. I do not believe in heavy Photoshop work because I believe authenticity is beautiful, and that an image cannot be "improved" by changing the real you.
Where are you located? Do you travel?
I'm located in Little Rock, Arkansas but I love traveling to shoot weddings. From the snowy mountaintops of Colorado, to the breathtaking Cliffs of Moher in Ireland, to the celebratory streets of New Orleans, I've adventured quite a bit! All destination weddings require a custom quote due to varying prices of airfare and accomodations, but my travel rates are very reasonable and I love to shoot in new places!
How many images will I receive?
For weddings, I typically deliver 600 - 900 images (the longer I'm there, the more images you get!). For portrait sessions, you can expect about 60-80 images.
Do you accept shot lists?
I do not accept shot lists because I prefer to capture moments as they happen. If I was overly-concerned about making sure to cross every item off of shot lists, I might miss something truly special happening that nobody anticipated. Don't worry – I'm a professional and I've done this hundreds of times – I will capture the most special moments of your big day and then some!
